Pageant Perfect Crime

This book is part of the Nancy Drew series. Nancy has a crime on her hands. The winner of The Miss Pretty Face competition can borrow dresses to attend formal events as crowned Miss Pretty Face. So, the winner goes to a dress store and tells the shopkeeper that she will borrow dresses and the shop keeper agrees.

But later than day, the police came to her house and took her to the station. There they showed her a video of her taking the dresses, but no video about her talking to the shopkeeping about borrowing. The shopkeeper pretends that she never talked to Miss Pretty Face about it and so Miss Pretty Face is accused of shoplifting.

As for Miss Pretty Faces' consequence, they took away her scholarship, car, the crown, and the money she had won. The crown went to the runner-up. Nancy enters a Miss Pretty Face competition to figure out who set her up for the false accusation of shoplifting.

Will Nancy find the culprit? Will the original Miss Pretty Face get back her crown and prizes? Read Pageant Perfect Crime by Carolyn Keene to find out.

I give this book 10 bananas.
